Sarj Gosal

Sarj Gosal - Gosal and Company Partner

Sarj Gosal is a BC lawyer practising in the areas of WorkSafeBC claims and appeals and CPP disability appeals. He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and obtained a Bachelors in Political Science (May 1988) and a Law Degree (LLB, May 1992) from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the Bar in May 1993.

Mr. Gosal has successfully represented a large number of disabled workers (over 4,000) and has extensive experience dealing with WorkSafeBC and CPP claims and appeals.

Mr. Gosal has been qualified (and provided oral evidence) as an expert regarding workers’ compensation matters in the British Columbia Supreme Court.

Michelle Bissenden

Michelle Bissenden - Senior Associate Lawyer

Michelle Bissenden is a Senior Associate Lawyer at Gosal & Company. She practices in the areas of WorkSafeBC claims and appeals and CPP disability appeals. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia in 2002 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2006. Michelle was called to the Bar in September 2007.

Michelle has represented hundreds of injured workers at the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal. She also has experience appearing before the Social Security Tribunal for CPP disability benefit appeals.

Prior to joining Gosal & Company in 2011, Michelle practiced at a leading Western Canadian law firm in Vancouver and worked at a national law firm in Sydney, Australia.

Kali Larsen

Kali Larsen

Kali Larsen is an Associate Lawyer at Gosal
& Company. She practices in the areas of WorkSafeBC claims and appeals and CPP disability appeals.  She obtained a
Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Political Science from the University of Victoria in 2015 and obtained her law degree (JD) from Queen’s University in 2018.  She was called to the Bar in 2019.

Prior to joining Gosal & Company, Kali completed her articles at a litigation focused employment, immigration, and human rights law firm in Toronto and practiced immigration law in Vancouver.

Kate Elperin

Kate Elperin is an Associate Lawyer at Gosal & Company. She practices in the areas of WorkSafeBC claims and appeals and CPP disability appeals. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (2013) and a law degree (JD, 2019) from the University of British Columbia. She was called to the Bar in 2020.

Prior to joining Gosal & Company, Kate volunteered with the UBC Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, where she represented clients in small claims and criminal trials. She completed her articles at a full-service global law firm in Vancouver, with a focus on administrative and employment law.

Jasmine Gill

Jasmine Gill is a Law Student at Gosal & Company. She graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2017 with a Joint Major in Business Administration and Psychology (BBA). She completed her Law Degree (JD) from Thompson Rivers University in 2020.

In law school, Jasmine competed in the 60th annual Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. She volunteered for the Thompson Rivers University Community Legal Clinic and the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program at the University of British Columbia. Before her final year of law school, she spent her summer working as a Review Officer at WorkSafeBC.
