WorkSafeBC Review Division Appeals

We assist you in filing your initial WorkSafeBC appeal to the Review Division.  Comprehensive succinct written submissions are provided to the Review Division based on your input and the supportive facts, medical evidence, and law and policy in your WorkSafeBC file.

Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (“WCAT”) Appeals

As WCAT is the final level of appeal, our lawyers will (with your input) carefully assess the merits of your appeal and will work with you to gather the expert evidence required to best advance your appeal.

Most appeals require an oral hearing and we will ensure that you are well prepared to answer our questions, as well as possible questions from the WCAT Vice Chair.  Comprehensive oral and (in many cases) written submissions are prepared to ensure that the strongest possible case is put forward on your behalf.

Claims Management

A large percentage of our clients retain Gosal & Company early on in the claims process as they are aware of difficulties with WorkSafeBC-related claims faced by friends, relatives, and co-workers.  Once retained, we can advise you each step of the way through your claim, and ensure that you appeal all decision letters that a layperson would not realize must be appealed.

Reopening of Claims

If you have an accepted WorkSafeBC claim, it may be possible to reopen your claim if there has been a significant change in your compensable physical and/or psychological condition.  We can assist you in reopening your claim for further compensation (including wage loss benefits, Vocational Rehabilitation assistance, and pursuing increased long-term disability benefits).
